Worksop V Doncaster Rovers Belles 06/02/2010
Due to a waterlogged pitch at Worksop the fixture was reversed, the game went ahead and was played at Ryecroft Campsall with the kick off at 11.00am.
The Belles started slow and were caught out with a early well taken goal from Worksop. This gave the girls the jolt they needed and they soon responded well with a goal of their own from Olivia Cawdron closely followed by a 2nd goal scored by Molly Ward.
The Belles were now playing well with some fantastic runs from Kirstie who was unlucky not to have scored on a couple of occasions, credit to the Worksop goalie for some superb saves.
With prolonged pressure from the Belles it wasn’t long before Olivia got her 2nd and then a 3rd goal giving her another hat-trick to complement her outstanding performance.
The goal of the game must go to Ruth Windass who followed the instructions from the Manager and was just in the right position to strike a lovely shot into the top right corner.
Well done girls a difficult start with players trying new positions, but lovely to see you all playing as a team and talking to each other . Keep up the good work.
