Todays game was back at the Graham Solley sports centre Bawtry road for the 2nd time this season. On our last meeting the score line ended with a 1 - 1 draw with both teams playing well, so todays game was well anticipated.
It was a cold and frosty morning with the ground extremely hard, but this did not deter the girls who started very well and took an early lead with a goal from Olivia Cawdron (the leagues leading goal scorer). This seemed to settle the Belles who went on to play some excellent team football scoring 2 more goals before the half time break with another from Olivia and a cool finish from Sammy Moorhouse.
For the second half the Belles came out with the same determination displaying good defensive and passing football which allowed Olivia to score again to acheive her hat-trick. All credit to Wednesday, who despite being short of a few key players, never gave in throughout the game and were able to score a goal through the sheer determination of one of their midfield players.
The fight back came a little too late when a ball played behind their defence allowed Olivia to again show her skills with a good run and score her 4th goal to finish the match 5 - 1 to the Belles.
Well done everyone for an improved performance, great determination and team play. Keep up the hard work.
Team: Lorna, Megan, Alicia, Sarah, Laura, Ella, Ruth, Kelsey, Sammy, Beth, Paige, Ellie, Molly, Olivia, Kirstie,

Our dame of the game not just for her 4 goals but her determination and non stop hard work goes to Olivia Cawdron
