This weekend most of the Belles' junior sides return to league action with the exception of the Under 11's and Under 18's, who must fight their respective cup quarter-finals after they were postponed last Saturday.
The Under 10's travel to Crosspool knowing that a victory against the 6th placed team will lift them a point above 2nd place Dronfield, who are inactive this weekend. The Belles would still also have a game in hand on Dronfield as well as having one on leaders Millmoor - assuming that their fixture away at 9th placed Sprotbrough and Cusworth Crusaders goes ahead.
The Under 11's play their cup tie away against a 2nd placed Barnsley Ladies side who have lost only once in the league this season. Whilst the form book suggests that the home team should go through to the semi-finals, the Under 11's have often been lacking just that little piece of luck to convert defeat into good results, maybe the luck will change this weekend against what promises to be a well marshalled home team.
Brian North's Under 12's face a weekend of inaction knowing that 2nd placed Middlewood Rovers could overhaul them and sneak pole position by lunchtime Saturday - but only if they beat Brinsworth Whitehill by more than 11 goals. Free scoring at times this season, Middlewood are more than capable of putting a cricket score on most teams but the previous meeting this season at Brinsworth saw the Belle's tightest rivals triumph 4-2.
The Under 13's are at home on Saturday at Balby Carr facing Handsworth Juniors. The Juniors are currently in 4th place behind Barnsley, the Belles and Crosspool, showing the best form of this seasons newly promoted teams. The only previous meeting of the teams this season saw the Belles edge the tie at home 3-2 (the same margin that Handsworth edged the cup semi final between the teams last season in their only other meeting).
Dale Weatherstone's Under 15's are away at Millmoor Juniors in the league this Saturday, the teams being separated by 3 points, Millmoor being 2 places above the Belles in 3rd spot. Due to postponements the teams haven't met at all this season although they're due to meet twice this month as the Belles host Millmoor in the semi-final of the cup on the 27th February.
Fresh from their unremarkable exploits last weekend, the Under 16's are away at 6th placed Worksop Town Girls, whilst league leaders Sheffield Wednesday, also fresh from the same exploits are at home to basement club Beighton Magpies, who have yet to record a victory in the league this season.
The Under 18's are our other cup team this weekend with an away match at Dearne Dragons in order to see who plays the winners of the tie between Sheffield Rangers and Socrates on Feb 27th at Balby Carr.
