Last night saw the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Girls League call a emergency EGM.
The meeting was called after the shock resignation of secretary Tina Stringer, and fines administrator Karleen Hemming.
The league issued a statement prior to the meeting , saying that unless replacements were found, the SHGCL League would have to be dissolved.
Well, I am pleased to announce that Doncaster Belles came to the rescue with our very own Chris Wright stepping in to the position of League Secretary.
Chris took up the post with immediate effect last night , after no other person came forward to take on the role.
We would like to wish Chris every success in his new post, I'm sure he will do a fine job just like he has done here for many years.
Chris has agreed after consulting the league, that he will be able to continue his duties at the club for the next few months, while a replacement can be found ( no easy task) .So we thank him very much for that, and for the hard work and loyalty he has shown the club while being in his post.
Chris will continue as next years U14 manager, with the help of his assistant Trevor
