Doncaster Rovers Belles, who got off the mark in the FA Womens Super League last week with a 2-1 win at Lincoln, find themselves without a WSL game this weekend.
Instead, John Buckley’s side travel down to meet high-flying Birmingham in their final WSL Continental Cup group fixture.
Belles cannot reach the semi-finals of the competition after defeats to Bristol Academy and Everton in their earlier group games.
“We are already out of the Cup so I might give a run-out to some of the players who haven’t been playing recently.”
“I’ve just got to balance whether I play them to give them some football or stick by the players who have done well in the last couple of games because I’ve been really pleased with them.
“It was a big result for us at Lincoln and although it is only one game it has given the team a massive boost.
“But you’ve also got to give the other players a run to give them a chance to prove themselves so it’s a difficult decision and I’ll not decide what to do until late in the week.
“There isn’t any pressure on us, but by the same token you also don’t want to get beat. We lost 4-0 there in the league recently and we don’t want to suffer a repeat.”
The Belles will be without long term injury victim Sue Smith (knee), Tania Pedron (knee), Nicky Emery (ankle) & Jazz Elliott (knee).
