Doncaster Rovers Belles welcome Bristol Academy to the Keepmoat Stadium in the Women’s Super League on Saturday, looking to build on a hard earned point at Liverpool.

The draw on Wednesday evening stopped the run of two consecutive defeats that the Belles have suffered since the start of the second part of the season and the girls are hoping to get back on the winning trail on Saturday evening.

Striker Aine O’Gorman is looking to continue where she left off, after the Irish international bagged the equaliser. She'll be hoping goals, which have been at a premium for the whole side so far this season, will start to come and get the points that the Belles performances have deserved.

However, assistant manager Paul Green knows that the Belles face a difficult encounter against an improving Bristol side.

“It will be a tough game because they are a fit, athletic side. We know that they are very well organised and we will have to be at our best to get a result.

“The girls know they can go above Bristol with a win, so that should be all the incentive they need to get the result that the recent performances deserve.”

Doncaster currently sit 7th in the Women’s Super League table but know a victory against the Academy could potentially lift them up to fifth.

However they will have to do it without Swedish defender Maria Karlsson, who is unavailable, and strikers Becky Hall and Katie Anderton, who are still ruled out through injury.

Bristol will be looking to cement their position in mid-table with a win and will look to the in-form Welsh international Jess Fishlock for inspiration as she has impressed in recent outings.
