Belles Aim To Build On Midweek Win
Doncaster Rovers Belles travel to Merseyside on Sunday to face Everton Ladies looking to build on the midweek home victory over Lincoln.
Everton have already beaten the Belles twice this season - 1-0 in the Continental Cup and 2-1 less than a month ago in the league. But both games were very tight affairs and Sunday is bound to be the same.
Belles Manager John Buckley "We have to try to build on a very good performance and victory in midweek over Lincoln. If we can maintain that level of performance then I'm confident that we can come away from Marine with a good result.
"Everton are a good side who are on a decent run at present as they battle with Birmingham and Bristol for a Champions League place next season.
"We need the points to move us up the table. The win in midweek lifted us off the bottom and gave everyone a boost at the club. Our aim now is to push on and start to look up to try and catch the nearest team with our games in hand."
The Belles will still be without long term injury victims Sue Smith (knee), Tania Pedron (knee), Nicky Emery (ankle) and Jazz Elliott (knee). Winger Beth England will also miss the game through a broken metatarsal whilst Naomi Chadwick is unavailable for personal reasons.
