Doncaster Rovers Belles travel to local rivals Lincoln Ladies tomorrow night looking to get off the mark in this season's WSL.
Tomorrow also sees the club play its first game since the announcement of a six-figure sponsorship deal with Innovation Financial Services Limited, and everyone connected with the Belles is hoping to start, what promises to be an exciting new era for the club, with victory.
Last time out the Belles went very close to picking up their first points, only for Bristol’s Grace McCatty to net deep into injury time to snatch the win for the hosts.
Belles manager John Buckley said: “The girls were all devastated at Bristol as our performance was excellent.
“I was really proud of what they did because it was the best they’ve played and I thought we deserved to win the game.
“We’re not far away from that first win at all but luck isn’t going our way right now which is always the case when you’re at the bottom.
"Hopefully that will start to turn on Wednesday night at Lincoln. We know them very well and it will be a difficult game like any at this level.
"But at the same time we are well capable of going there, being positive and picking up our first points of the season."
The Belles will be without long term injury victim Sue Smith (knee), Tania Pedron (knee), Nicky Emery (ankle) & Jazz Elliott (knee).
