Belles Add Defender Little

Doncaster Rovers Belles are delighted to announce the signing of defender Leandra Little from Lincoln Ladies.

The ex-England basketball player, came into football in 2007 and has been outstanding ever since for Lincoln as they chased promotion from the FA Northern Division and assistant manager Paul Green is delighted Little has agreed to join the club.

Belles assistant manager Paul Green "We are pleased to have been able to secure Lea for next season. She is a tall and athletic defender who will add height and strength to our back four.

"She is equally at home playing at centre back or right back.

"Defensively we need to improve from last season and feel that the acquisition of Lea is a good start towards doing that."

The talented 27 year old defender went on to have an excellent first season for Lincoln in the FA Women's Super League winning their 2011 Manager's Player of the Year Award.

Belles assistant Green "Lea is a good defender who performed consistently well last season and along with the likes of Sue Smith will add some much needed experience to the squad for the forthcoming campaign."
