Belles Bolster Backline

Shelby Hills

Doncaster Rovers Belles are delighted to announce the signing of 20 year old central defender Shelby Hills from Watford Ladies.

The former Fulham defender joined Chelsea as a Under 16 and went on to spend four good years there as a regular in the side. Before a bad knee injury caused her to lose her place before joining Watford in the summer of 2011 to get some game time.

Shelby has gained England recognition at both U19 and U20 level. Indeed she was a member of the U19 squad that were runners up to France in the UEFA European Championship's in Macedonia in June 2010.

Before being selected for England at the U20 World Cup in Germany in July the same year.

Belles manager John Buckley 'Shelby is a strong defender who is very good in the air. Her signing will improve the squad and give us good competition for places at the back.

'She has good experience and pedigree coming through the ranks with England. Her distribution of the ball from the back is excellent and I'm sure that she will do well for us'.
