JOHN Buckley is backing the Belles to pass their screen test tonight when they host Everton in front of the live ESPN cameras writes Paul Goodwin.
The women’s game has enjoyed unprecedented media coverage since the launch of the new FA Super League last month and tonight sees the turn of Doncaster under the television spotlight.
Boss Buckley is looking forward to the occasion - a family evening for which fans can still claim free tickets - and doesn’t expect his team to get stage fright.
He said: “Once the whistle blows, the fact that the game’s on television won’t be in the players’ minds.
“It’s a big game for the girls and both teams would like to put on a bit of a show.”
"I've spoken to quite a few people who've said they've been very impressed with the quality of the football in the Super League - and I expect ourselves and Everton to get the ball down and play.
"But the most important thing for us is not entertaining people - we need to get another win under our belts."
