COMMUNITY: CSK and Sammy T inspire next generation!
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk and Sam Tierney discuss their latest community events in South Yorkshire.
Our hot-shot striker and talented defender were on hand to help inspire the next generation of girl footballers at events in Doncaster and Rotherham respectively.
Footballers in the making from the West and East Riding areas visited Doncaster for the Sheffield FA-organised Player Development Centre event to hear all about Courtney’s experiences as a professional footballer, receive invaluable advice and get the forward’s answers to all of their burning questions.
Sweetman-Kirk told the club’s official website: “It was great to see the high standard of football being played. The event was bigger than I imagined!
“It was fantastic to see so many girls engaged in football. I am sure some of them could be future Belles stars too!”
Meanwhile, Tierney headed to Rotherham prior to the England Women’s Euro 2017 qualifying match against Belgium to engage with the fans at Rotherham's AESSEAL New York Stadium.
The FA Fanzone saw Sam sign pictures and footballing items as well as take photos with the young Lionesses supporters before England's 1-1 draw with Belgium.
Sam said: “With the match having over 10,000 in attendance, a lot of supporters came over to the FA Fanzone so it was a really good night.”
The Belles are proud to get involved in the community and our players would love to hear from you! To enquire about Player Appearances at your next event, get in touch by CLICKING HERE.
