Doncaster Rovers Belles captain Katie Holtham said that her team now need to focus back on the league campaign after they were beaten 2-0 by Birmingham in the Continental Cup.
The Belles, who went into Sunday's game with no chance of qualifying for the semi-finals, are keen to shift attention back to the WSL.
“Credit to Birmingham today, they played some good football at times. We did too but our final ball let us down, which is something we need to work on,” Holtham said.
“It was a hard one because we were already out and the league is important to us now. We’ve got a huge game against Liverpool in a couple of weeks’ time; we need to get ourselves prepared for that.
“It’s a bit of a nightmare for us really. It’s stop-start, we’re playing week on, week off, and it’s difficult.
“We tried to get the momentum back today, and they didn’t create too much in the first half, but with the strikers they’ve got they only need half a chance for a goal.”
