Maria - Japan, Sweden & The Belles

My biggest and best congratulations to the Japanese team and their brilliant performance during the whole WWC.

It has been fantastic to see Japan’s technical and fast play during the whole tournament. They were ranked number four in the world, and therefore it is actually a little surprising that so many people have been so surprised by their success. I’m one of them. Japan was good before the tournament. Their performance during it was brilliant, and now they have proven that they are the best. Wow!

I’m suffering with my old teammate, Hope Solo, with the Swedish manager Pia, and the rest of the U.S. team. To lose a final is tough, but if it’s something that this team has proven many times it is that they can come back again and again.
