Aine O'Gorman's Peamount United were hit with two goals in the last 20 minutes of the UEFA Champions League last-32 first leg at Tallaght Stadium last night.
The Irish team, the first to reach the knock out stages of the European competition, had matched the classy Paris Saint-Germain for the majority of the tie in front of 2,109 supporters.
The French made the breakthrough on 72 minutes. Substitute Nora Coton-Pelagie found space on the right to shoot and her effort from 25 yards took a wicked deflection off Quinn to deceive Meehan in the Peamount goal.
Peamount pressed for an equaliser but were hit with a killer blow three minutes into stoppage time when another substitute, Cindy Thomas, was allowed to race clear and make it 2-0.
The second leg will take place next Wednesday October 5th in Paris.
