'Ralphi' Wings In For Belles

Julia Ralph Scott

Doncaster Rovers Belles LFC are delighted to announce the signing of ex-Scotland international forward Julia Ralph Scott from Forfar Farmington LFC.

'Ralphi' joined the club just before the transfer deadline prior to the second half of the inaugural FA WSL campaign.

The quick Scottish winger started her playing career with Nairn boys club before moving to Elgin and then on to Lossiemouth Ladies.

She has won Scotland recognition at Under 17, Under 19 and full international level, going on to gain 14 full caps scoring 3 goals.

'Ralphi' spent 18 months with Hibernian Ladies where she won the Scottish Cup while at Napier University, graduating in 2004. She then accepted a scholarship to Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

After a successful season playing varsity 'soccer' she was signed by Toronto Lynx for their 2005 campaign in North America's semi-pro W-League.

'Ralphi' returned to Scotland to finish the 2005/06 season with Aberdeen Ladies and it was from here that she joined Celtic in 2008.

At Celtic she went on to win the Scottish League Cup in 2010 before joining Forfar Farmington who currently sit third in this seasons SWPL.

Belles Manager John Buckley 'Ralphi adds good experience to the squad. She is very direct, has the sort of pace which can hurt teams and she is capable of scoring goals for us. Her signing gives us more attacking options and competition for places amongst the forward players within the squad.'

'Ralphi' will wear the number 18 shirt and go straight in to the Belles squad for the trip to Birmingham on Saturday.
