RTC: Belles starlets are shining bright

Julie Grundy has been delighted with our Regional Talent Club (RTC) players' progress.

Our RTC teams were in action at the weekend against Durham with impressive displays from Belles' talented U12s, U14s and U16s.

First team captain, Leandra Little, was also on hand to watch the next generation of Doncaster stars during those games at Sheffield Hallam University Sports Park.

There's been further cause for celebration too, with several of our girls taking part in the National Elite Camp - a Girls' Talent Pathway scheme which links to the England national team set-up.

RTC manager Julie has told the club's official website just how pleased she has been with the progress and development made to produce home-grown talent in Doncaster.

"Even though we are a new venture, I'm extremely excited for the future of the RTC," she said.

"We are working hard to structure the RTC and build partnerships. The aim is develop not only players, but respectable adults who, in the future, will be role models for our future RTC players.

"The RTC is very much in its infancy, however, the feedback from the girls and parents has been extremely positive."
