We are recruiting a Technical Director for our Regional Talent Club

Doncaster Rovers Belles (Regional Talent Club) Technical Director

Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club (DRBLFC) philosophy relies heavily on the production of excellent young players from within its Regional Talent Club (RTC).

The primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement a technical / tactical player and coach development programme across all age groups within Doncaster Rovers Belles RTC programme in line with FA criteria.

This role will identify and support the development of elite female players within a technical and educational programme to enable them to fulfil their sporting potential

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement a training programme in line with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines
  • Ensure high standards of coaching delivery across all age groups
  • Develop and oversee a continuous professional development programme, to include a comprehensive mentoring strategy, for coaches and support staff involved within the RTC
  • Ensuring the RTC adheres to the FA standards for safeguarding children
  • To monitor and evaluate the player and coach performance of the RTC
  • Provide one to one performance reports for all players
  • To communicate regularly with the First Team Manager regarding the progress of the players within the RTC
  • To ensure the following needs of players are addressed: Sports Science, Psychological, Educational, Nutritional in order to maximise RTC players' potential
  • To educate the RTC players in regards to what is required to become a player for Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies First Team
  • To be familiar with the standards required within the Development Team and First Team
  • To ensure trials are effectively organised.
  • To work closely with the RTC Manager on all relevant issues
  • To follow the club's technical methodology ensuring all teams in different age groups are following the required principles
  • To regularly communicate with the First Team Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • To work with the First Team Manager to create an individual evaluation performance system to detect players development areas and strengths and to control the progress in the relevant areas
  • To instil the club ethos and culture within the RTC
  • To be familiar with Safeguarding requirements as outlined in the Safeguarding Policy and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
  • To be aware of the core values upon which Doncaster Rovers Belles LFC operates and to educate the players, coaches and physios within

    Main Job Requirements and Person Specification

    Education/Qualifications/Training:

  • UEFA A License or Held UEFA B Licence over three years
  • FA Youth Award Module 1 & 2 and working towards YAM 3
  • FA Licensed
  • A recognised FA Emergency Aid Qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
  • A satisfactory self-declaration and an enhanced FA DBS (CRC) check

    Specific Experience:

  • Previous experience with elite players is essential
  • Experience of managing individuals and teams
  • An appreciation and experience of mentoring and developing other coaches
  • Understanding of the FA Women's and Girls player pathway
  • An understanding and implications of Long Term Player Development

    Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the standard of player required at DRBLFC and an understanding and knowledge of the overall Women's Football Development Pathway in England
  • A dynamic, confident communicator (verbal, written) with the ability to adapt style and approach as and when required
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Planning and project management skills to ensure flawless delivery of various programmes
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to prioritise team objectives over individual objectives
  • Possess an excellent work ethic
  • Knowledge of all relevant International camps / matches
  • Evidence of sound administrative, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Experience of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent role model for young players
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Highest standards of professional and personal conduct, especially confidentiality
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in approach to achieve desired outcomes

    Hours of Work

    Your normal working hours will be flexible and will include Monday and Thursday evenings. With Fixtures on Saturdays. All training sessions and fixtures must be attended as part of the role. This role does include key administrative duties.

    Please note that the work location means whatever locations the club reasonably requires

    Salary: Based on experience at a competitive rate
