Katie signed for the Rovers Belles from W-League club Buffalo Flash in November 2010.
24 year-old Holtham moves to South Yorkshire after a brief spell with the Flash over the summer, helping the club clinch the W-League championship.
Katie had been instrumental for Yorkshire rivals Leeds Carnegie over the last three years. Indeed Katie scored the opening goal in last season’s FA Women’s Premier League Cup final win over Everton in February, helping Leeds to their first silverware of the clubs history.
Katie has also played in two FA Women's Cup finals both at the City Ground in her home town of Nottingham, losing out 4-1 to Arsenal on both occasions. With Leeds in 2007 and Charlton in 2006, this was despite her opening the scoring after two minutes, before a record crowd of 24,529 in 2006.
The talented midfielder had joined Leeds in 2007 when Charlton Athletic FC scrapped their women's team after being relegated from the men’s FA Premier League. Holtham joined Charlton in from Bristol Rovers in 2006.
Holtham, a box to box midfielder has represented England at Under 17, U19, U21 and U23 level. But she is still waiting to make her full international debut despite being called up to the senior squad on several occasions, including being named in Hope Powell's provisional 30-player squad ahead of the 2007 World Cup.
