Shelby signed for the Rovers Belles in January 2012 from FA National Division side Watford Ladies.

The former Fulham defender joined Chelsea as a Under 16 and went on to spend four good years there as a regular in the side. A bad knee injury then caused her to lose her place before joining Watford in the summer of 2011 to get some game time.

Shelby has gained England recognition at both U19 and U20 level. Indeed she was a member of the U19 squad that were runners up to France in the UEFA European Championship's in Macedonia in June 2010.

Before being selected for England at the U20 World Cup in Germany in July the same year.

Shelby has power, pace and strength. She is good in the air and can distribute the ball well out from the back.
